Land Clearing in Vilonia, AR

Vilonia is home. It is where we are based, where we keep the equipment, and where a good share of our work happens.

Vilonia sits in Faulkner County along Highway 64 between Conway and Beebe, with Highway 107 running north out of Vilonia. Most of what surrounds it is exactly the kind of ground we work: rural residential acreage, pasture, small farms, and wooded tracts that have been subdivided over the years as people moved out from Conway and Little Rock for more room.

That pattern creates a particular kind of job. A lot of local properties are five, ten, or twenty acres where the house and the immediate yard get maintained and the back half quietly grows up. Fence rows widen, the pasture edge creeps in, and the trail to the back of the place closes over. Five years later there is usable ground that nobody can reach. That is the most common call we take here.

The city has grown substantially, which means a steady amount of building. New houses, shops, barns, and the driveways and pads that go with them. Building on a piece of raw ground in this area usually means clearing first, then establishing access, then getting the site level and draining properly before anything else can start. We handle that whole sequence rather than just one piece of it.

Terrain around Vilonia is mostly gentle to rolling, which is generally friendly for equipment, though it means drainage has to be thought about rather than assumed. Water that is not given somewhere to go will find its own way, and it usually picks the driveway. Soil here holds water after a wet stretch, so timing matters on dirt work.

Vegetation is typical Central Arkansas mixed growth. Cedar, briar, privet, honeysuckle, oak and hickory coming up through the understory, and the volunteer growth that takes any pasture edge that has not been kept after. Most of it falls well inside what a mulching head handles.
