Land Clearing in Little Rock, AR

Home › Areas We Service › Little Rock

We work the acreage around Little Rock rather than the middle of it, which is where this kind of equipment earns its keep.

Dense understory and young trees on untouched wooded acreage

Little Rock is the largest market in the state and a straight run south of us down Highway 67 and the interstate. It is also the one place in our service area where it is worth being clear about what we actually do, because land clearing is not a downtown trade.

The work here is on the edges. West Little Rock has pushed outward for years, and that expansion keeps running into wooded ground that has to be opened before anything can be built on it. The same is true heading out toward the county line in most directions, where larger residential lots, small acreage and semi-rural property sit alongside subdivisions. Those are the properties that need a machine rather than a crew with saws.

The typical call looks much like it does anywhere else we work, just on ground that is usually worth more. An owner has three, five or ten acres with a house near the road and a back portion that has filled in with brush, briar and volunteer hardwood. They want it usable again, or they want to build on it, or they are selling and want somebody to be able to see what the land actually is.

There is also a steady amount of site work tied to building. Clearing a lot, cutting in access that will carry construction traffic, and getting a pad level and draining before anything goes on it. Doing that in the right order is cheaper than fixing it after a wet season of heavy deliveries.

Terrain varies more than people expect. Parts of Pulaski County are flat river-bottom ground where drainage governs everything and water stands unless something is shaped to move it. Other parts rise into hills where slope, erosion and access matter far more. Which of those a property sits on changes the approach completely.
