Land Clearing in Cabot, AR
Home › Areas We Service › Cabot
Cabot sits an easy run southeast of us, and we work property throughout the area and the acreage around it.

Cabot has grown steadily for a long time, driven in part by its position on the US 67/167 corridor and its proximity to the Little Rock Air Force Base at Jacksonville and to Little Rock itself. It is a commuter city in the best sense: people live on land here and drive to work elsewhere, which means a lot of residential acreage owned by people who are not on it all day.
That shapes the work. Property that is not being actively farmed or grazed grows in quickly in this climate, and an owner who is gone five days a week often does not register how much ground they have lost until it is substantial. Reclaiming pasture edges, opening fence lines, clearing understory, and getting back access to the rear of a property are the bulk of what we do around Cabot.
There is also consistent new construction, which brings the usual sequence: clear the building site, establish a driveway that can survive the build, level and drain the pad. On newer rural lots the driveway is frequently the thing nobody budgeted properly, and it becomes obvious the first time a heavily loaded truck comes down it in the wet.
Ground southeast of Vilonia flattens out compared with the country north of us, which changes the drainage picture. Flat ground does not shed water on its own, so crown, ditching, and culverts carry more of the load. A driveway on flat ground with no crown will hold water on the surface indefinitely, and that is where the ruts and soft spots come from. When we look at a driveway around Cabot, the grade and where water goes are usually the first things we are checking.
Soil in the flatter areas also holds moisture, which makes timing more important on excavation and pad work. Working saturated ground produces a worse result and costs more time, so there is a genuine benefit to scheduling dirt work when conditions cooperate.
