Land Clearing in Greenbrier, AR

Greenbrier is one of the closest places we work to home, and the country around it is full of exactly the kind of acreage we spend most of our time on.

Greenbrier sits north of Conway on US 65 in Faulkner County, the same county we are based in, which makes it a short run for us and an easy one to come look at on short notice.
The town has grown quickly, and most of that growth has gone outward onto acreage rather than upward in the middle of town. That produces a particular kind of property: five, ten, twenty acres with a house near the road and a back half that has not been touched in years. Fence lines widen, the pasture edge creeps in, and the track to the back of the place closes over until a truck will not fit down it. Reclaiming that ground is the most common call we take anywhere, and it is especially common here.
The ground starts to roll as you move north out of Greenbrier toward the edge of the Ozark foothills, which changes things in a way flat country does not. Slope means water moves, and water that is not given a route takes the easiest one available, which is very often the driveway. Long rural drives off the county roads around here take a beating for exactly that reason, and the fix is usually reshaping the surface so it sheds properly rather than adding another load of rock on top of a problem that will come straight back.
Vegetation is standard Central Arkansas mixed growth: cedar, briar, privet, honeysuckle, and volunteer hardwood filling in anywhere that has not been kept after. Nearly all of it sits comfortably inside what our day-rate mulching covers, which is light to moderate density with trees roughly six inches and under.
There is also steady building here, and new construction on raw ground follows the same order every time. Clear the site, establish access that will survive the construction traffic, then get the pad level and draining before anything goes on it. Doing those in the right sequence is cheaper than fixing them afterwards.
